Ram grew up in a humble, hardworking family in Azerbaijan. His grandparents fled their homeland when the Nazis invaded in WWII. As a result, he learned the value of community at a young age.
Ram immigrated to the United States two decades ago settling in Michigan. He paid for his tuition by working as a janitor, dishwasher and baker while attending community college. He then was accepted at Michigan State University, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science and International Relations.
His career began in information technology which brought him to North Carolina fifteen years ago. Ram is happily married with two children who attend public school.
